Mismatch?
Some interesting happened today. As I was happily chatting with a few friends in the library(Now you know why i go there !), one of my classmates showed me a few of the sketches he had done.
Now, I'm no art expert but i do have eyes.His work was exceptional! Got me thinking why someone with an immense talent like that would end up doing an engineering and then an MBA.
I hate criticizing the system but just can't help doing so right now.Its a joke is what it is.Potential Artists,Musicians,Writers, all doing MBAs.
How wrong can this world get !

@ BS: system, culture, whatever. yeah true, each is responsible for his own destiny and all that... but there is not much encouragement given to non-conformist, non-academic lines.

@Vishy: My point exactly !
@BS:
The routine goes like this
Class X : High Scores => Science
Class XII : Stud => Engineering
Engg => MBA\MS\Tech Job
Where exactly is the path for a guy good at acads but exceptional at something which deviates from the oh-so-often trodden path.

@Docs Dope: That a pretty pathetic argument, don't you think ?
Oh I'm sorry...you can't think.
My mistake.

One thing that i do not understand is why people always want the system to do things for them. If you keep your talents to yourself you alone are responsible for the world not knowing.
Speaking of talent, you dint mention cricketers :).
